Summary: 

The last foe is a new “Death,” created by man. To solve the Kira Case, L (Kenichi Matsuyama) leaves Los Angeles convincing Kira is in Japan. At the same time, his intuition tells him that he may never be able to return to Los Angeles again…

Known as Kira, Light Yagami (Tatsuya Fujiwara), using the Death Note, attempts to become God of a criminal-free new world. By L’s ultimate choice, the Kira Case closes, but, at the same time, L loses Watari (Shunji Fujimura) who was L’s most trusted partner.

 

After Watari left, L takes on the task of solving the cases left in Watari’s file. As all the cases are solved, a “gift” addressed to Watari arrives. The gift is a little boy. From the SD card the BOY (Narushi Fukuda) has in his possession, L learns that the child is the only survivor of the Thai village, which was exterminated. L also discovers that a huge conspiracy, utilizing a man made

“Death,” was on the move behind the Thai village tragedy.

Meanwhile, L has another visitor. The girl’s name is Maki (Mayuko Fukuda), and she tells L that she has brought something her father, who died a horrible death, told her to deliver to Watari. As L realizes the item the girl brought is, indeed, the “Death” in question, pursuers are closing in. Protecting the two children, L physically makes moves to solve the horrendous case.

Cerita Death Note berawal ketika Light Yagami menemukan sebuah buku yang ternyata milik Shinigami (Dewa Kematian) bernama Ryuk (Ryuku). Di dalam Death Note milik Ryuk, terdapat cara menggunakan Death Note yang ditulis olehnya sendiri. Death Note ini kemudian digunakan untuk mewujudkan idealismenya yaitu untuk menciptakan dunia baru yang bersih dari kejahatan, dengan dirinya sebagai Dewa.

Sinopsis:Sebenarnya Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) sudah tak ingin ikut berlomba lagi setelah ia memenangkan Piston Cup sebanyak empat kali. Sayangnya, karena bujukan Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) dan Sally Carrera (Bonnie Hunt), Lightning kembali mengikuti World Grand Prix. Bedanya, kali ini perlombaan ini harus diwarnai misi berbahaya.

 

          Miles Axlerod (Eddie Izzard)punya produk bahan bakar baru yang disebut Allinol dan kini ia menggelar World Grand Prix untuk membuktikan bahwa produknya layak jadi andalan. Karena ditantang Francesco Bernoulli (John Turturro), Lightning akhirnya setuju ikut balap kali ini. Di luar pengetahuan para
peserta balap, Professor Zündapp (Thomas Kretschmann) ternyata bermaksud menghalangi usaha Miles Axlerod.

        Professor Zündapp berencana meledakkan mobil para peserta balap dan membuatnya seolah-olah Allinol adalah penyebabnya. Untungnya dua agen rahasia Inggris, Finn McMissile (Michael Caine) dan Holley Shiftwell (Emily Mortimer) mengetahui rencana ini dan berusaha menghubungi agen rahasia Amerika Serikat yang kabarnya juga mengetahui rencana jahat ini. Karena satu peristiwa naas, Matter malah dikira agen rahasia Amerika Serikat dan dimulailah petualangan seru ini.

Review
        Film untuk seluruh keluarga? Bisa jadi, walaupun CARS 2 ini bukanlah TOY STORY 3. Dua-duanya memang buatan Pixar namun soal hasil, CARS 2 ini masih belum sebanding dengan TOY STORY 3. Bukan dari kualitas animasi namun lebih pada alur cerita dan cara sang sutradara melibatkan para penonton.

TOY STORY 3 memang lebih universal. Bukan karena apa, rasanya semua orang pasti pernah punya mainan berbentuk boneka tapi tak semua orang punya mainan berbentuk mobil-mobilan. Kemungkinan besar, CARS 2 ini bakal lebih menarik minat para bapak yang ingin bernostalgia bersama putra mereka. Karena itu juga menyebutnya tontonan untuk seluruh keluarga rasanya agak susah juga.

Terlepas dari segmen yang tak terlalu luas ini CARS 2 tetap tontonan yang cukup menarik. Kualitas animasi jelas tak perlu diragukan sementara para pengisi suara juga bukan aktor atau aktris baru. Alur kisah yang ditawarkan juga cukup bagus walaupun bukan sesuatu yang terasa fresh. Yang jadi masalah mungkin adalah kegagalan CARS 2 'menyentuh' para penonton seperti yang terjadi pada WALL-E, UP, atau TOY STORY 3.(kpl/roc)
